Jam Track using the jet city 100 watt head. Guitar used is a Carvin C66 with Dimarzio Evolution pickups. Amp is plugged into a splawn 4x12 with a pair of scumback XH75-LHDC's and a pair of celestion G12K100's. Reverb and delay come from a TC nova system. NO boost was used in this video. Audio capture is primarily from a rode K2 as well as from the logitech C600 camera mic and a tiny amount is mixed in from an MD421 and SM57 on the cab but about 80% of the mix is the 2 room mics The backing track was provided by Bryan Kornaker. Showing off some of the subtle and not so subtle tones of the Metasonix R-54. Source is 3 sawtooth waves from the ARP 2600. Pittsburgh Modular VILFO and Timetable as clock and clock divider. Bottom horizontal row of the Tiptop Audio Z8000 is the sequencer for pitch to the ARP. First is manual sweeps of tuning, resonance and overdrive. Then adding in sample and hold from the Doepfer A-148 to filter tuning CV in. The trick for me is an attenuator for dialing in just the right amount of CV. I hooked up an old DVD/CD player to an old Yamaha R-V703 Surround Sound Amp, to drive modulation to an HP 606A Signal Generator at 11 MHz, to a spare telescoping antenna I had, receiving at 11 MHz on the Hallicrafters. The audio you hear is from a October 7, 1943 live radio broadcast, Bing Crosby Armed Forces Broadcasts. This entire Bing Crosby Armed Forces Broadcast CD set is from LaserLight Digital (#15 934) consisting of 5 CD's of select broadcast dates from 1943-1945. You can hear exactly what radio sounded like during WW2 coming through the SX-28 receiver's RF chain down to the audio output on the PM-23 speaker (designed to match the SX-28 specifically). The HP 606A is set at External Modulation- AC and the attenuator selector is set at -30 dBm and adjusted as needed but set at ~2 volts on the meter since range from transmitter to 30 meter longwire receiving antenna (which is outside) is about 20-25 feet (~8 meters).

I just replaced my stock AC30 speakers with a Weber Blue Dog and Weber Silver Bell and wanted to record something to test microphone placement. Some sloppy playing at times, but I'm pleased with the overall tone in the recording. Signal path for those interested: Epiphone Les Paul Custom Fractal Audio Axe-Fx Ultra Vox AC30 (w/ Aracom Power Rox PR150-Pro attenuator) AC30 is mic'd with a Shure SM57 (in front of the Blue Dog) and recorded into GarageBand via an Apogee Duet. No additional modifications to the audio were made within GarageBand.

Some improvisation with my CA OD-2 100 EL34 through a CAA 4x12 loaded with 2- EV12L classic's and 2 Scumback H-75's The Faustine Phantom Attenuator is set to -2 db. The OD tone is from the amp alone, there is a El Capistan Delay in the loop of the amp.
